Invisalign/Clear braces

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that utilizes clear removable aligners to straight teeth.  The clear aligners aregenerated from a special computerize 3-D software.  They are customized to fit exactly to your teeth.  These aligners slowly and safely reposition your teeth to a desire smile.

Benefit from Invisalign:

  • Reduce risk of root resorption as teeth movement is controlled by computed Clincheck 3-D orthodontic movement.
  • Before and after treatment are visible in Clincheck prior to commit to treatment.
  • Exceptional oral hygiene as aligners can be removed during eating, flossing and brushing.  As the result dental cavities are reduced during orthodontic treatment.
  • Esthetic pleasant compare to conventional metal bracket and wire braces.
  • The aligners are clear and invisible that most people will not notice you are in treatment.
  • Remove aligners for special events.
  • Significant less irritation to the soft tissue compare to metal bracket and wire braces.

Invisalign demands patient’s cooperation.  Patient who is on Invisalign must wear the retainers 24 hours a day.  The aligners are removed only during eating, brushing or flossing.  Aligners that are not worn for a period of 4-5 hours will set back treatment time of 24 hours.  Your final teeth movement may be affected if the aligners are not worn properly as directed by CDG dentists.

Procedure:

  • During your first visit impressions, a bite record, photos are taken. This information is sent to Invisalign to process a 3 dimensional picture of your computed teeth movement call “Clincheck”.  Clincheck is advance computed software that will design your custom teeth movement.
  • In your second visit (usually the Clincheck is available in 2-3 weeks), CDG dentist will discuss your teeth movement, and length of treatment depends on the number of aligners indicated on the Clincheck.  If the Clincheck is satisfied then the aligners will be processed and available in 2 weeks.
  • During your third visit, the two aligners are delivered and checked for fit, instructions are given to patients.  Each aligner is worn for two weeks
  • Patient must return monthly for adjustment and deliver of new aligners.

You are to report to CDG dentists if:

  • Aligners do not fit
  • Aligners are torn off
  • Button comes off

Successful removable orthodontic treatment requires a consistent cooperative effort by the patient.  A patient’s failure to clean his or her teeth, or to wear prescribed aligners, can result in failure of teeth to move to their desire positions, and can prolong treatment.
