Dr. Derek Duong D.M.D.

General, Cosmetic, Implant Dentistry and Implant Surgeon

Dr. Duong graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2001. Prior to dental school, he attended University of California in Irvine and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1995.  While in college and dental school, Dr Duong worked as a Phlebotomist for 7 years at Pacifica Community Hospital (Huntington Beach, CA), Hoag Hospital (Newport Beach, CA), and New England Medical Center (Boston, MA).  After graduated from dental school, Dr Duong established “Coastal Dental Group” in 2002. He then went on to complete a year long Maxi-course for hands-on surgical and restorative  implant training. Dr Duong's experiences and interests are in the area of bone expansion or bone manipulation techniques and minimal invasive sinus grafting or bone grafting with PRF (platelets rich fibrin), and/or CGF (concentrated growth factor)  for implant placement. He also completed an advance hands-on clinical training in occlusal splint,  micro and macro-dental occlusion of natural dentition, restorations, and dental implants.

Endodontic or Root Canal Treatment and Re-treatment, Dental Implant, Oral surgery (Third Molar or Wisdom Teeth Removal), Perio-Surgery, and Restorative Dentistry are his primary focus. Dr Duong owns and operates surgical microscopes for ten years to treat various microsurgical procedures such as apicalectomy, endodontic treatment and retreatment , complicated tooth extractions, and minimal or conservative tooth reduction for veneers . Dr Duong is a Certified Invisalign (Clear Braces) Provider. He brings with him a great level of patient care and continues to thrive for advance dental knowledge through continue education in the area of Endodontic, Dental Implant, Periodontic, Restorative and Laser dentistry.

Dr Duong is an active member of AAID (American Academy of Implant Dentistry), CDA ( California Dental Association)ADA (American Dental Association), OCDS (Orange County Dental Society).  He was a past member of AAE ( American Academy of Endodontist).

Dr. Sandy Phan D.M.D.

General and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Phan graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2001 and ranked in the top 10% of her class. She was awarded Merit Scholarship from 1998-2001. Dr. Phan attended University of California in Irvine and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1996. She is the co-founder of “Coastal Dental Group” in 2002. Dr. Phan’s primary focus and experience cover all aspects of Minimal Invasive Dentistry. She brings great level of gentle care. Dr Phan speaks fluently in Chinese, Vietnamese, and English.  Dr Phan completed a short hands-on clinical training in implant surgeries and restorative.   She also completed an advance hands-on clinical training in occlusal splint,  micro and macro-dental occlusion of natural dentition, restorations, and dental implants.

Dr. John Lin D.D.S.

Laser, Implant Dentistry, and Implant Surgeon. Wisdom Teeth Removal.

Dr. Lin graduated from University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1989. He brings with him more than 20 years of dental experience. Dr. Lin’s primary focus is in the area of Dental Implants, Bone Augmentation, Oral Surgery, Endodontic, and Laser Dentistry. As an assistant teaching professor at Boston Implant Institute ( Diamond Bar, CA), he brings with him extensive knowlege and skills in implant dentistry.   He also completed an advance hands-on clinical training in occlusal splint,  micro and macro-dental occlusion of natural dentition, restorations, and dental implants. Dr Lin's experiences and interests are also in the area of bone expansion techniques and minimal invasive sinus grafting for implant placement
